Overall Satisfaction with Nintex

Our company uses Nintex as a platform for intake forms and workflow automations to increase efficiency and tracking across multiple departments within our organization, primarily in our SharePoint environment. With dynamic controls, the ability to create and recall variables from different sources, and rules to perform unique functionality, it is far superior to the default SharePoint list form.

Pros

  • Customer service is wonderful.
  • Resource materials are easy to find.
  • Insights into forms and workflows for reporting.
  • Allows unique low-code functionality where needed.

Cons

  • Ability to insert form variables from the designer tab.
  • Possibly create features in responsive forms similar to app components.
  • Increased submissions.
  • Automated workflows eliminate manual email notifications.
  • Learning opportunities.
Except for a few minor shortcomings, Nintex does not disappoint. It is easy to work with and provides unique functionality that is not provided through our out-of-the-box tools. We have received many requests for custom forms from other departments based on what they've seen other teams using. The people are responding well!
Outside of Nintex, I'm not entirely sure how many other integrations we have, as that is handled and managed by another team in our IT department.
I personally have benefited from learning another software, which is useful in many areas. I have also benefited from creating custom forms for our end users, which makes it easier for them to consume and use, and eliminates as much manual input as possible with variables.

Do you think Nintex delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Nintex's feature set?

Yes

Did Nintex live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Nintex go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Nintex again?

Yes

Nintex is well-suited for our SharePoint lists as it provides a more user-friendly intake form and has the look and feel of a professional form based on standard practices within our department. It is not currently able to be used in document libraries, so I believe that if it could be in the future, there would be a place to attach documents and then have additional fields for inputting metadata into columns in the library.
