Nintex: Converting Complex Solutions to Simple Designs
Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Process Platform
Nintex Platform is being used by our IT department. We also successfully implemented it with clients and we got very positive feedback on the Nintex Products based upon the following:
- Ease of design
- Ease of implementation
- Ease of maintenance and support
Pros
- Complex approval process.
- Easing the form design with Nintex Forms.
- Getting the ROI and usage history using Hawkeye.
Cons
- Inline action debugging which is lacking on online.
- Workflow error notification for failed items.
- Quicker decision making.
- History of approvals track.
- Ease of process.
We mostly implement in Office 365 SharePoint online. As I mentioned, with the tool it is easy to design the complex needs with simple predefined action items and configure the design flow. Migrating from one environment to another environment is easy. Also, it is easy to take up the reusable design and implement it in other requirements. This, in turn, saves money for Development and client resources.
Currently, we see very few non-IT staff using it. They are currently using it for internal audit requirements.
We have evaluated OOTB designer approaches, Power Automate approaches, and K2 wrt to Nintex. The ideal features that set Nintex apart are:
- Predefined action items and ease of design using drag and drop.
- Ability to implement complex processes with fewer hurdles using no to low code approaches.
- Maintainability of the Nintex workflow solutions.
- Support from the product group is commendable.
