Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Workflow
We use Nintex Workflow across the entire company but use is generally more focused in the Information Technology and Purchasing departments. We use it on our SharePoint site to handle workflows for:
- Approving capital expenditure purchase orders
- Approving varying levels of access for new employees and ensuring that all steps in the onboarding process are followed
- Ensuring approval of SOX-compliance documentation by all appropriate personnel
- Updating SQL tables with information about documents within the workflows
- The biggest bang for the buck with Nintex is the ability to create workflows with drag-and-drop functionality. I can build simple workflows in a matter of a few minutes.
- It looks basically like a flowchart, which is the way a workflow should look. Having the visual layout for the more complicated workflows is invaluable.
- Nintex Workflow support is fast, knowledgeable and friendly.
- Internet Explorer is the only browser supported. Nintex is the only thing for which I use IE and it's a little frustrating that I have to remember to open another browser to be able to utilize the full functionality.
- More consistent following of employee onboarding processes and acquiring the appropriate levels of approval for various kinds of access
- Faster completion and easier maintenance for workflows has allowed me to spend less time on that and more time on my other tasks
