Overall Satisfaction with Okta

I use Okta to use apps assigned to me such as Salesforce, Workday etc. The best thing Okta addresses is we can see and use all the assigned applications to us from a single sign-on and from the single page. I can also use the same apps from my mobile phone browser.

Pros

  • Single Sign on- This allows us a single sign in for all the assigned apps.
  • MFA- Multiple ways to secure the sign-in(s).
  • Deployment- quick deployment without any major requirements.

Cons

  • I think there's a scope to improve the User interface such as better search functionality.
  • Customizing options for end user dashboard should be added.
  • Session cutout is very annoying
  • Quick Implementation: Reducing deployment period from months to weeks.
  • Fast Onboarding: Users can get access to their required tools/apps as soon as they want, even on day 1.
  • Low risk of threats/breaches: MFA helps in blocking the unrecognized attempts almost 100% of the time.
- SSO Platforms: Seamless sign in experience, reduces passwords chaos.

- Security & Compliance: Centralized sign-ins, audit trails, and support from customer service team.

- Integration with applications: can integrate with many cloud applications.

I had a positive experience, they quickly resolve the technical issues. In short, the team is dedicated to understand the company's objectives and aligning the company's services to support those goals.

Companies which are working with Okta services, often benefits from customized solutions that address their unique management needs.

Apart from this, I honestly don't have any other personal experiences.

1. SSO- Users can login only once for all the applications without being login again and again for different applications.

2. Supports Mobile web browsing- User can have the Okta mobile app to access the applications on the mobile phone.
3. Automatic onboarding and deboarding of an employee.

Apart from this, the only less appropriate is I think the pricing, it needs to be pre define especially for small organizations.
