Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ON24 in the marketing department and it serves as our principle webinar platform to help us drive new leads and nurture existing customers. ON24 helps us add another level to our marketing channel.

Pros and Cons

Integrates into our marketing automation but also can send emails through ON24.
A solid platform to host webinars. Flexible to provide and modify templates.
Some useful reporting of registrants.
Could use ON24 to do email sends, create the landing page, etc.

Sometimes it takes a while to load a presentation.
Some of the interfaces are not always intuitive.
Solid webinar platform, but not as flexible to do training with repeat topics. Each training would be a new event.

Integration to CRM & Marketing Automation

Integrated into Marketo so invites are sent out through the automation tool, and registrants and participants are passed to Marketo. There are some areas where the integrations could be tighter.

Reliability and Availability

It works as it is supposed to for the most part. There are some areas that are not intuitive, and it can be slow to load up slides, they do not always render perfectly, but overall it is a good platform. I am sure there are many facets that we are not utilizing. The platform seems to be fairly robust and can handle a lot of different things. We have not had any major issues.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Connect

We use Adobe Connect in other areas. For a webinar platform, ON24 is solid. Adobe does provide some benefits in the areas of training and learning and that is why our training team decided to go with Adobe. Also, I think it is more expensive and so that was another reason why different parts of the organization decided on another platform.

Marketo, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Conversica

Likelihood to Recommend

ON24 is a solid webinar platform for marketing. ON24 may be more expensive than some other competitors, but it is fairly easy to use. While I understand that some companies may use ON24 for training, I think they need to increase their flexibility and ease to duplicate events, etc.
