Overall Satisfaction with OneCause

Our organization implemented OneCause because we were looking for a software application that would accomplish everything we needed for our annual Gala, including ticket sales/options, discount codes, registration, table creation, silent auction and raffle options, food preferences, and more. I'm very happy with our decision to implement OneCause and I have to express how excellent the customer service has been. It is so easy to get ahold of our account manager and they have a call center that was really easy to use and I was able to get my question answered quickly. The reason for my 9-star rating instead of 10 is because the tool can be a little hard for non-technical people to pick up quickly and there are two key features I've requested that would be monumental for us (one being the ability to "disable" the silent auction option for some of our events and the second being the ability to add a freeform text box in registration where we could specifically ask for allergies or accommodations) but I haven't heard back on whether those features are on their roadmap anytime soon.
  • Silent auction
  • Customizable pages
  • Registration
  • Ticket sales
  • Reporting catalog not intuitive, no custom reports
  • Can't export the registrant view, field selection is limited
  • Can only bulk update certain fields
  • Increased funds raised
  • Saved time by using one platform rather than several for our event planning
  • Customer support is outstanding
As an IT professional, I picked it up very quickly, but when showing the tool to colleagues, some of the terminologies is a little confusing as I believe it's intended to be broad enough to cover everything but it's almost too broad to where there is some confusion. For example, they use the term "supporters" which encapsulates everything from attendees to companies to people who have donated an item(s) for the auction or raffle to volunteers, etc. They also refer to the attendees as "bidders" even if there is no auction at your event. Also, their reporting catalog is incredibly confusing - I wish there was an option just to create your own report depending on your needs.
The overall support is incredible, better than any support I've ever experienced before. Everyone is incredibly personable and easy to talk to and well-informed on the capabilities of the system.
The biggest draw for us was OneCause's silent auction offering. We had been doing silent auctions on paper for the last four years and we were looking to update our process and draw in more bids with added convenience. OneCause was able to create a one-stop-shop for us where we could have all of our Gala offerings in a central location.

Do you think OneCause delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with OneCause's feature set?

Yes

Did OneCause live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of OneCause go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy OneCause again?

Yes

OneCause is more suited for special events like a gala or luncheon where more information is needed on your attendees (i.e. table placement, dietary restrictions, etc.) whereas, for smaller events, I would probably lean a different direction just due to the time it takes to spin up a proper webpage for a single event.
