Overall Satisfaction with OneCause
We use OneCause as our event platform mainly. We have one large event a year that is our main fundraiser in which we use OneCause in it's whole capacity including bidding on Live and Silent Auctions, as well as Raffles & Donation Moments.
OneCause tracks our fundraising goals and I use the exports to import into our other CRM system.

Pros
- The raffle set-up is very easy to navigate and allows you to adapt your location's needs for raffle laws.
- The site design makes it so easy for you to set up your event page in minutes.
- OneCause makes it very easy for table management for large events.
Cons
- OneCause could improve their messaging - the fact that custom emails are not as easy as custom texts can be frustrating. I wish all the automated messages were possible over email as most of our professionals that we work with, they prefer email over a text.
- OneCause could make it easier to copy and paste text into site design or other features. Having to re-type out the text is a time-suck, when it would be easier to adjust the text to the font default without having to type it in the HTML editor on it's own.
- PLEASE make it easier to resend the "assign tickets email". The fact that the main way to do that is when you first enter them into OneCause, but then are not able to resend that message to ticket owners at a later date makes it difficult for them to find what they need when they are ready to assign their tickets.
- The ability to set up a donation moment when people purchase a ticket on the site has brought in funds that were unexpected and allow people to show their additional support.
- The reports to cross-check our deposits to our merchant account are less smooth. This takes up more time than usual and it's caused us to spend more time to double check the funds that were raised.
OneCause is superior in many ways to greatergiving.
The website is easy to navigate and the courses and trainings that are offered allow for a smooth transition.
There is less room for error, and OneCause helps streamline the process of running such a large event. We've had issues with table numbers in the past using other software, where it couldn't calculate the tickets and table numbers correctly. Overall, we are happy with OneCause for our event and fundraising management.

Using OneCause
2 - The business functions that are represented when using OneCause is for our event management, fundraising initiatives, and supporter database. We find that OneCause is easy to use, the reports generated are always easy to integrate with our other platforms, and overall the organization of information around our events is a breeze.
1 - The type of person that uses OneCause must be good at attention to detail, accuracy of inputting information, and organized. The ability to multi-task allows for efficiency across multiple events for one organization. They need to have basic computer skills, and understand exports. There is some training that is helpful, but once those are completed, it is a great platform that I believe anyone is capable of learning.

Evaluating OneCause and Competitors
Yes - Greater Giving. We had many issues with their platform, and it was very outdated. They had back-end issues that we were unable to fix, and even the on-site person they provided didn't provide a training that ensured our volunteers were prepared. We had funds that weren't recorded and then lost, and issues with keeping track. They also have a lot of maintenance happening on their server, which cause issues around event time.
- Cloud Solutions
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
The integration with other systems is a breeze, and truly the platform layout is the sole reason we made the switch. It's easy to use and to keep up with a lively and chaotic event night.
I don't think I'd change anything.
