Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

A/B Testing for changes to the website
  • Editing test variants
  • Integrating with Analytics
  • Needs a little work on targeting - specificaly how it uses Cookies - it needs to spell out the exact full value - it would be good to use RegEx
  • Faster time to decision for data driven organizations.
  • Easier implementation of new experiments.
  • Easy to use reporting.
Test and Target - Omniture - Very expensive compared to Optimizely. Optimizely integrates with Google Analytics.
Optimizely is well suited for the basics of A/B testing. Especially when you have developers make alternate versions of the page.

Although its editing features are powerful, things like A/B testing differences in headers and navigation are still best left in the hands of someone who had some web programming knowledge - not your typical marketing folks.

Using Optimizely

We have done fairly advanced and complex change testing with Optimizely. There is nothing it can't handle so far. It handles 100% of our needs.
