Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

Optimizely is used by our marketing department and engineering department to optimize our website, and education tools.
  • Optimizely allows us to quickly set up tests without requiring our engineers to spend valuable time on testing. Within minutes, we can create alternate versions of call to action buttons to increase participation in events. One test increased participation by 30 percent.
  • The tool provides detailed, live results for tests. It's important that we can not just A/B test, but A/B/C/D, etc. and run multiple tests at once. Optimizely also provides data on statistical significance, to accurately gauge our results.
  • Optimizely's drag-and-drop editor is great for anyone on our team to implement a test, with no programming knowledge. You can easily change text, images, embedded videos, colors, etc.
  • It will be great if Optimizely can expand capabilities of its editor to be able to make larger changes, like completely different homepage layouts.
  • Huge impact. We're a non-profit that organized an education campaign. We were able to reached about 8 million more students solely because of A/B testing with Optimizely. By changing call-to-action text on our website, we increased signups by 30% and active participation by an additional 7%.
Overall customer service and impact went beyond our expectations. Before Optimizely, we weren't able to experiment and brainstorm due to tight deadlines and a fast pace. Optimizely allowed us to be more creative and test a variety of approaches on our website to hone in on our organization's voice and angle. There is no way we would've arrived at the results we did without A/B testing with Optimizely.
Optimizely works really well for situations in which someone with little programming knowledge wants to optimize their website, and for companies moving quickly. It is also an asset when you have a call to action or point of sale. I would take a look at video resources from Optimizely to get an idea of what you can do with the tool.
