We are currently using Oracle Linux 7 to host our Oracle Databases, Apache HTTP server, PHP, Tomcat, Oracle & Reports for various Business Applications and Processes used by Western Cape Government.
- Host a variety of Databases like Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc.
- Host various Applications like PHP, Tomcat, Appache HTTP Server, Weblogic, etc.
- Operation System.
- I would like an easy way of installing packages through yum or rpm without stressing about which repository to find the package.
- Easy navigation through Graphical User Interface when needed.
- Easy Troubleshooting.
- Our Organization is making +/-R37,000000.00 per annum through Oracle Linux and Databases.
Since our Organization is using an Oracle Hardware i.e. Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, it makes sense to use Oracle Linux and also easy to troubleshoot when there are problems through Oracle Support.
