Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Linux
We use Oracle Linux as our main instances for running Oracle DB, Oracle Data Warehouse(and ODI), and OBIEE. The biggest business problem Oracle Linux addresses is that it's inside the "Oracle technology stack", meaning everything kinda falls into place when working exclusively with Oracle products.
- A lot of the documentation on Oracle support/Oracle sites explain solutions using Oracle Linux
- Running data warehouse/db/obiee on the same operating system
- Documentation for Oracle Linux is significantly worse than redhat
- Any patch, any problem can be solved using Oracle support. Meaning problems with Oracle Linux can be resolved quickly
- Ubuntu Linux, CentOS Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
I did not select oracle linux, it selected me :)
