Overall Satisfaction with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM
We have implemented the PS HCM across our organization of 15,000+ employees and 5,000+ non-employees. This is our single HCM solution. While other applications do interface, we consider our PS HCM instance as our source of truth. The ability to integrate with PS HCM is a driver in shaping other investments that we make going forward.
- The system is very customizable. We have a solution which has been tailored to meet our specific needs.
- Our PS solution is quite stable. Our dependency on the vendor is minimal with most 'issues' being handled in-house.
- The new 9.2 architecture has improved the way we upgrade. Our staff spends less time implementing new features and bug fixes. This allows us to focus on many of the things we've been unable to get to over the last few years.
- The UI for PS is not end-user friendly. It often comes across as clunky or technical in nature. We have deployed other products that sit atop of our instance to combat this.
- The future of PS HCM is short. We know we need to gear up for cloud but exactly what that roadmap looks like is not yet clear.
- Heavily customized PS HCM makes us vulnerable and often unsupported. New features are, at times, lengthy to implement as it causes significant re-work on our end. Visibility and alignment between Oracle Roadmap and our Roadmap is difficult.
- It's yet to be seen if our 9.2 upgrade will allow us to leverage our resources in new ways. We originally anticipated a reduced testing effort but recently felt that wasn't going to be the case.
- We have a large HRIS and developer staff to support our PS HCM systems.
