Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

We use Outreach to boost sales and make sales more efficient. It is a very helpful tool in terms of organizing prospects, accounts, and pulling notes from calls. Also a lot of management wants us to use Outreach as a task management tool, meaning we should be able to finish our Outreach tasks every day. To be honest, as an SDR I think of Outreach as boosting efficiency for us but I wish I knew more about why exactly we are using it in a grand strategy sense.

Pros

  • Call notes - I love how it organizes connects by disposition so I can go in and check while researching accounts
  • Showing how many tasks we have
  • Notes by the prospect when you call

Cons

  • It is annoying how when emailing a prospect you can't enlarge the email pop-up
  • Some form of continuous dialing like Orum
  • Highlighting any past connects with prospects
  • I'm sure improved revenue metrics although I'm not in charge of that
  • Booking more meetings based on better research
It is scalable to many businesses, but I think Orum if frequently better for scalability in terms of number of prospect calls and making more calls. I think every sales team should have Outreach and I cannot imagine using only Orum because I think Outreach is better as an organizing tool, but I also can't imagine using only Outreach without Orum given the amount of calls I have to make in a day.
Honestly I haven't seen the use of predictive or gen AI capabilities unless we're talking about plug-ins from SDRGPT or Actively.

I wish my org would tell me what these are and allow us to use them
Outreach is essentially how I begin my day of prospecting every morning. I open it and check my overall tasks and maybe make some VIP one-off calls. So for organization purposes, it is really strong. I think of the tool almost as a prospecting planner. However, it could be better in terms of ensuring reach, or making sure you can quickly dial a lot of prospects.

Do you think Outreach delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Outreach's feature set?

Yes

Did Outreach live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Outreach go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Outreach again?

Yes

I think Outreach is really strong as a tool, especially for one-off dials and for research. For my top (or VIP) prospects, I usually go to Outreach instead of Orum. Furthermore, while researching an account I go to Outreach for overall call notes.

I think Orum is better for overall call blocks and more general calls since you can parallel dial or continuously dial rather than having to make more clicks and wait for the dial tone and all.
