Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Paychex Flex is used at my organization to manage payroll for employees. It is used across the entire organization and regulated by the business owner. It helps us stay in compliance with federal and state payroll laws and regulations, which change frequently and can be a headache for small business owners.

SurePayroll is pretty bad, it has a lower monthly fee, but their automation is not up to snuff. Paychex Flex, where you have a designated payroll representative (and mine is competent), does a much better job if there are any regulatory changes or irregularities. I would not use SurePayroll despite their lower monthly cost.
Customer support at Paychex Flex is quite good. They will give you a designated payroll representative who will be your primary contact and take care of most of the customer support in the organization. I would give that 10/10. Their insurance arm, however, isn't as good at customer service but is still tolerable.

Paychex Flex is well suited in a small business where you need payroll administration but don't have the money to hire a full-time administrative assistant to take care of it. It may be less appropriate in a larger corporate environment since its benefits are designed more for small businesses than large.
