Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

We use most modules of Paycor as our HRIS. We use this system for payroll, recruiting, benefits, learning management and performance management. Hourly employees also use the timekeeping aspect as well as the scheduling function.

Pros

  • Robust System
  • Many modules to meet all your needs
  • Lots of training

Cons

  • In my opinion, the support is very frustrating. Everyone gives you a different answer and most the time your issue cannot be solved with a phone call to support. In my experience, It takes weeks and communication is poor.
  • The different modules don't seem to talk to each other
  • The system is a bit like a labyrinth, it often isn't intuitive
  • Paycor has actually reduced our efficiency as an HR team. One week we spent 2 hours on the phone with customer support and the problem still wasn't solved.
  • From the positive side, it is nice having an HRIS that can be used as one total solution.
Our HR and/or payroll team is spending more time than we did previously due to Paycor. - We spend more time on support since the system is not intuitive and have to call multiple times. Often we get different answers from different support people so we have to call back multiple times to find a solution that works.
It isn't intuitive so you often have to call support and, in my opinion, their customer support isn't great. It is outsourced so it often feels like the people don't really know the system, they are following a script and some times the language barrier comes into play.

This system could be well suited to smaller companies without a lot of complexity. For companies with multiple entities, we have found it to be cumbersome.
