Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

I use Paycor daily to manage the end-to-end recruiting and onboarding process. This includes Posting Job Ads: I create and publish job postings directly through Paycor, which allows me to efficiently promote openings across multiple job boards and track candidate sources.
Collecting and Reviewing Resumes: I regularly monitor applicant flow through the system. Paycor’s applicant tracking feature enables me to review submitted resumes, evaluate candidates' qualifications, and progress them through various hiring stages.
Candidate Communication: I use Paycor to communicate with candidates at various stages of the hiring process, including scheduling interviews, requesting additional documents, and sending updates on their application status.
Onboarding New Hires: Once a candidate is selected, I initiate the onboarding process through Paycor. This includes sending digital onboarding packets, collecting required documents (like IDs and certifications), and ensuring all forms are completed before the hire’s start date.

Cons

  • Too many internal glitches.
  • Slow turnaround time for corrections.
  • Customer service reps are not fully trained.
  • Call drops, no one calls you back.
  • The call tree needs to work.
  • Software issues cause costly delays.
  • When onboarding works, it is very easy to use.
Glitches. So many glitches. The customer service number provides basic troubleshooting, which doesn’t help; some issues take weeks to resolve, with no apparent reason why they occur. The system does not work on Safari. We have dealt with Payroll not working, which has caused a manual payroll to be run. Paycor representatives do not provide any assistance.
Overall, Paycor is a solid system that meets most of our needs. It offers a wide range of functionality and generally performs well. However, there are a few technical issues that create challenges, particularly within the onboarding module. From the few systems we have used, Paycor has the most potential.

Paycor centralizes all recruiting and onboarding tasks in one platform, making it easier to stay organized, maintain compliance, and provide a streamlined experience for both candidates and hiring managers. But software issues cause extreme and costly delays. Customer service representatives are often not knowledgeable, and it frequently takes multiple calls to reach the right person who can create a ticket. This process can take days to resolve, even if a resolution is found.
