Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We have had Paylocity for 1.5 years at this point, and while we are still learning, we are excited to use it every day and share with our employees its capabilities. Data Insights is one of our favorite features as it quickly answers many of the questions we get from upper management. It's great to show our leaders that they have access to the data they need to make business decisions.

Pros

  • Data Insights is a great "pulse point" area for the company.
  • The many dashboards make data easy to digest.

Cons

  • A Tax Dashboard is needed so that we can track where our issues and notices are on being resolved.
  • In T & L an accurate 9/80 employee view is needed. Currently I am individually explaining how the system works and why their view doesn't match their paycheck.
  • Timecard transfers come over to the payroll side with rounding issues. This means that the employee timecards doesn't match the paycheck exactly and this has employees wondering if they are being paid correctly.
  • Data Insights has helped with decision making
Pulling time over from T&L to the payroll batch is seamless. Over all the payroll process is smooth and easy.
We currently do not use these products.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity still needs to grow in some basic HR & Payroll sections before they add more modules. It seems that they have almost forgotten about their core products. Payroll with a company set can be cumbersome as you do have to switch between each company.

The Dynamic reporting is a great new feature. I'm looking forward to seeing that expand in the future.

Employee experience is important and I believe that Paylocity does a good job with that. The mobile app is easy to navigate though it needs more capabilities for employee to update their information.
