Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for HR&Payroll, Onboarding, Performance Management, Community resources (impressions). We are currently implementing Time & Attendance and Benefits Administration with Paylocity, as these are currently housed elsewhere. Paylocity helps us keep track of payroll and flow new hires into our HRMS system. I'm in Human Resources, so I am in there every day.
Pros
- The Community Impressions are a hit at our company
- The Onboarding works well enough to flow new hires into system and keep track
Cons
- HR&Payroll. Can't future date things or it will impact current payroll
- In my experiene, cannot manipulate or customize Performance Management as much as I want to. When I future assign some annual reviews, they don't always get launched by the system.
- Customer Service. When I call in, they don't always know what they're talking about. I don't usually trust their answers
- Our benefits are through Bswift, a third party subsidiary that integrates with Paylocity. These two departments don't talk to each other and will often send me on a wild goose chase to see who is handling what.
- Not sure if there are any. We spend a lot of time correcting things or doing things manually
It's hard to say. Once we implement Time & Attendance, Ben Admin, and fully use the Compensation module. I think it could really makes things much more automated and time saving. However, we are still in the process of implementing this. It's too early to tell, but I'm hopeful because I know we aren't using Paylocity to its full capability.
Our employees really love the Community tool and especially use the Impressions. This is a great way for our employees to shout out each other and feel seen. It's used regularly.
I have only ever used Paylocity. However, ADP looks very useful. I like how you can change backend things yourself rather than put in a ticket. The reporting capability also looks fantastic. We also looked at Paycom, but many outside colleagues we talked to said it was terrible. Our Payroll Analyst at their previous job had Paycom and then moved to Paylocity and enjoyed it much more!
