Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We currently use it for payroll and we are beginning to use it for reviews and performance reviews. And we are starting to roll out your journal option and we are just about to roll out benefits with you as well. So you'll be our benefit portal.
Pros
- So much. It's very intuitive. It's very easy for our new employees, especially to use easy for tracking time, love the option for recognition. We're just getting started on that. The biggest thing is everything's all right there where we need it and it's easy for our employees.
Cons
- I think the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is right now it's several steps for us to get our employees to their work state Labor law poster. Because we're a remote company, we have 30 states, that would probably be the most thing. I think it's three clicks into it before they get to where they need to be.
It's simpler for our supervisors to approve their timecards. So that process has shortened quite a bit and the fact that I can just quickly go in and see who has or hasn't, instead of having to search it out makes it much quicker for me. I do the payroll, so it's definitely cut down on my work for sure.
We're just getting there, so I don't know that I have a full answer for that yet. We're just starting to use the performance review portion of it, which was super positive. This was our first time doing it. We did year, year-end reviews, so that has been significant for us to be able to have our employees track their progress and have it written. Everything is documented, it just makes it very clean.
We were using Zenefit, which was not great for us. And then prior to that I was using Centric, which was okay, but we weren't using all of the options, so I don't know how great that was because we were very narrow in our use, but Zenefit was the last one we used and it was very difficult for us.
It doesn't at all stack up against Zenefit. The biggest thing I love about Paylocity is your customer service is amazing. I can reach somebody at any time, so easy. They're so responsive and if they don't know the answer, they're going to find the answer and I've never left waiting, so I just really love the customer service portion of your platform.
