Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We are currently using Paylocity as our payroll provider and utilizing numerous functionality within their full-service HRIS system.

Pros

  • HR & Payroll
  • Time and Labor
  • Performance
  • Integration with outside vendors

Cons

  • Compensation for the small employer. Funcitonality needs more flexibility
  • Implementation of certain functionality - HR & Performance
  • General Ledger integration implementation
  • Improved Efficiency and Productivity
  • Data Management and Accessability
  • Enhanced Employee Experience
  • Higher costs
  • Implementation Issues
  • Data Security / Vulnerability Risks
Having all functionalities within one system has been a blessing. The functionality is very robust, which can sometimes make it overwhelming to navigate through everything. We have not yet implemented many areas because we are still learning the primary functions that we need. Taking the time to implement each area to suit our needs has been a gradual process.
We have yet to utilize these tools. As a small organization, we prefer recognition to be shared with all employees (e.g., emails when a post occurs). However, we have found that rewards and recognition only send emails to the employees receiving them, so others may not be aware of the accomplishment. We use Community Board more than rewards and recognition.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

As someone new to this platform, I sometimes find the vast functionality overwhelming. The knowledge base is robust, but it may take time to locate an answer. It would be nice to have a user group board to assist with quick questions instead of trying to locate an answer in the knowledge base or calling customer service. The ease of finding information can sometimes be daunting, and search functionality between windows should be the same.
i.e., the Employee payroll File search and the Employee HR File search. These two areas overlap in many ways and should have one central location.
