Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We have the challenge of multiple ERP systems to manage our beer production and full service restaurants. Paylocity provides a comprehensive HR & Payroll system that integrates with all of our support software systems including our POS, (Toast) and financial systems (R365 & Quickbooks). The Paylocity HR & Payroll integrations we use include benefit management, COBRA, Garnishments, ACA and Employee Onboarding. Paylocity has the necessary tools to automate all of the employee onboarding and benefit management requirements including communicating new employee and termination information directly with the benefit providers. In my experience Paylocity either provides the necessary service or integrates nicely with other support software.

Pros

  • Payroll experience is simple and provides the review tools to eliminate payroll mistakes including current payroll vs last payroll reporting before payroll is submitted.
  • Benefit Open Enrollment is easy for employees to navigate and complete
  • Support is always available when you call. Either your representative or someone on your support representative's team will always answer the phone and address your questions.

Cons

  • Workflows- the set up process is less intuitive and response times on error issues are over a week.
  • Paylocity reduces payroll errors with easy systems and prior payroll comparisons.
  • Workforce benefit visibility is greatly improved with easy access for employees to all records
We don't use Paylocity's scheduling or time tracking tools, however, Paylocity does integrate well with the POS provider we use for these services. Paylocity's dedication to provide their customers with either a Paylocity solution or integration with another third party solution sets them apart from other Payroll and HR providers.
We are just now implementing Community for our employees. The initial response is positive and as we integrate more video into our messages I believe employee engagement will continue to improve.

Paylocity is well suited for the full service restaurant payroll and HR management. The phone app works well for employee engagement and benefit information. Most employees manage their benefit open enrollment entirely through their cell phones. They have access to all of their benefit information including internal company benefits.
