Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity as our HRIS system, Recruiting system, Onboarding, and payroll systems. It is a user friendly system that is very intuitive and works well with the flow of each module. It is a system that talks well to other platforms such as Indeed when we post our positions with little hassle. Additionally, the reporting capabilities are essential to our every day needs and the system has great variety and an easy editing function to create custom reports as needed. This allows for the perfect tracking system of all of our data. The onboarding system is flawless and streamlines the process of bringing all candidates on board as well.
Pros
- Streamlines the ability to talk from one module to the next
- User friendly- there is no need to fight the system
- Timecards are easy to complete and even easier to process for payroll
- Onboarding is automated for us and an EASY process
- Employee data is complete and kept in perfect categories
- The app is user friendly for the employee
- The community feature is a great way to keep our Employees up to date
Cons
- Section outside of reviews for making notes on things like phone calls,, ee discussions, incidents etc
- Easy way to get EEs to complete workflows or indicate to EEs that it is required
- More training in the system for Employees that is up to date and higher caliber
- better data-driven decision-making- KPIs make the world go round and we have been able to better track things like absenteeism, attendance, and vacation hours
- more consistent processes- Everyone goes through the same onboarding and gets the same sign offs on paperwork which is then housed within the system and safely stored.
- better workforce visibility- Our managers can see basic information about their people but also can go in and view and update timecards as needed to help with that process and save time
Automating a lot of payroll is extremely helpful as long as they understand there are things that we do have to go in and fix before it is processed as part of the job. The supervisors have to answer questions before we hit submit and we have to sometimes verify what the heck they are doing. In addition, with automation it sometimes can feel like we are taking the human out of HR so I worry that we may do that. Other things it is extremely useful and beneficial for day to day tasks. As far as freeing me up for strategic work, that is very helpful!
The community feature has been the biggest feature for us as it is our way of getting information out to our employees in real time and letting them know about upcoming events. In addition we have often utilized the chat feature that comes along with community plus. This is something that employees use to talk to each other and to talk to HR when needed.
