Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is the primary communication platform for our employees. It helps like a kinda one one-stop solution, but not a completely one-stop solution.
Pros
- Really good account manager support.
- Community platform, like org wide announcements, employee recognition.
- Self portal is easy for employees to use.
Cons
- More Automation. Example for attendance points: If our policy states that disciplinary conversations will occur at 4 points, then there is a way to automate notifications to the supervisor and employees when they reach 2 points and 3 points as a warning or alarm.
- More customization for workflows.
- We integrated 360 for our COBRA in February, and even after a few months, the platform is still not working.
- If there's an option in Paylocity to add a secondary person to get emails or messages from the prospective new hire when the primary person is out of office.
- We have just started using the performance tool in Paylocity, and I found many manual steps that can be automated.
- There's a lot of discrepancies in data flowing from one to another.
- For E-Verify, once we complete onboarding, the status is displayed as 'completed,' and no further action is required. However, after a few months, we received a notice from e-Verify stating that we have a pending action in e-Verify. If there's a way we can get a notification from Paylocity on this, that would be great.
- Positive is Easy to train employee on how to use.
- A negative aspect is that when there's an upgrade or change to the system, there is no communication. The example recruitment tab's appearance and functionality changed, but there was no communication. This impacted our process flow, requiring more time to train hiring managers and adapt to the new process.
- I am unsure if we can send Assignment letters or project letters to employees. Currently, we use Adobe because I couldn't find this feature on Paylocity.
I feel there's a lot of area. I feel that if there's automation for these things, that would be great. For example, the Attendance point system sends notifications and warnings to supervisors and employees about their points. Another example is workflows. Because I couldn't customize workflows on Paylocity, I created an additional workflow on the Google platform.
Our organization's employees and leaders enjoy and appreciate the Community platform.
