Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity makes it easy to track employee time for payroll as well as for paid time off. Employees may easily see their current balance for unused vacation, sick, and personal time off. Our employees use Paylocity to request time off, the request is approved by their supervisor, and is updated on their timecard. This process is very simple for everyone and makes it easy to keep track of all paid time off used and remaining balances.
Pros
- Tracking paid time off
- Keeping accurate timecard data for payroll
- Self-service portal for employees to request time off or review documents
Cons
- It would be nice if a time card entry "errored out" if an entry didn't include a pay group with the cost center entry on the timecard
- Allowing an additional percentage on the W-4 and not just additional flat tax amount would be beneficial for some employees
The automatic time tracking allows me to have more time to focus on other tasks. The tracking of time off balances and the ability for the employee to access those balances in the self service portal is a huge time saver. Instead of researching the data. I can refer the employee to the portal.
These tools have not had an impact on our business.

I have used ADP and Paycor in previous companies. Paylocity was already in place when I started working here. It functions well, so I am not compelled to make a change.
