Overall Satisfaction with Periscope Data
Periscope Data allows us to create custom dashboards for our clients externally, and organize copious amount of data internally. Being able to create separate dashboards allows us to work on bugs in data on one branch within our engineering department while still allowing our sales team to have a seamless experience when showing the platform and it's inherent data reports to prospective clients.
Pros
- Organization and security in only allowing access to certain aspects by certain users
- Ease of access to information in user friendly charts and graphs
- Ability to download reports used for sales, billing, engineering, and marketing.
Cons
- Include more appropriate updates in their monthly newsletter as opposed to the general overview that doesn't always have the most pertinent information at the forefront.
- There are bugs at times when certain dashboards are down, though not in an overwhelming way.
- If you do not tag something it shows up in multiple views and may be accessible to people that it should not be, though that is a user error it may make sense to prompt for a tag and security setting.
- Google Charts and Keap
Periscope is far more robust than these two similar products. For a start up just getting going they are fine alternatives, but as your business scales Google Charts becomes a hassle to manage and Keap becomes too much of a generalized product. While your business increases it is generally best to get multiple specialized pieces of technology to help you maintain integrity in your data, and Periscope Data allows. Worth the money.
