Overall Satisfaction with PingPlotter
During the pandemic we shifted various components of our IT infrastructure services to different locations (i.e. Cloud, Datacenters, etc..) to help with the remote work environment and support required for such. PingPlotter helped us monitor and keep our ISP and IT infrastructure partners honest when issues were identified, specifically latency. The interface is very intuitive and displays the information that is relevant when doing ping traces and analyzing each hop.
Pros
- Graphically displays the hop with Latency
- Easy historical comparison
- Quickly digest the summary of multiple ping targets
Cons
- Graphical highlight for Latency is limited to just one section of the GUI
- Share report could include more than just a screenshot (i.e. drill down interactive)
- Knowledge Base could use more videos versus just text articles
- Historical comparison for target pings (before and after)
- The ability to share a pingplot with a public link quickly
- Intuitive design
- Reduced our IT team's troubleshooting time
