Overall Satisfaction with Postal

Before, we would have interns send out Amazon gift cards on behalf of our sales development representatives. It was quite a disorganized and neither scalable nor measurable process that inhibited our growth. With Postal.io, our sales and marketing teams can seamlessly send out gifts and other materials through the mail.

Pros

  • Integrates with sales engagement, marketing automation, and CRM platforms
  • Provides tracking and reporting on spending and channel effectiveness
  • Offers an extensive marketplace of various items for any budget
  • Comes with unlimited seats and sends

Cons

  • The system logs you out after a few hours
  • You'll have to approve each item you want a team member to be allowed to send out on their behalf
  • The platform can be hard for luddites to use properly
  • Direct Integrations with our Marketing Technology Stack (Outreach.io, HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Lots of cool stuff to send out
  • somewhat easy user interface
  • We have increased our set meetings for SDRs
  • We have a clear way to measure the impact of gifting
  • The cost of the platform and gifts combined ended up being too much
Postal is easy for erudites to use.
Postal.io is cheaper than Sendoso and still meets the technical requirements. Reach desk has more capabilities. They can print prospects' names on whiskey bottles.

Using Postal

25 - Marketing, Sales development, Sales, Customer Success
3 - You'll need to know how to use a computer mouse and keyboard in order to use Postal.io properly. Additionally, you'll need to create either shared or individual budgets and have appropriate payment methods for billing. Your tech stack for CRM, Marketing Automation, and sales engagement will need to be in order, so operations will need to be involved.
  • Meeting Incentives
  • Customer Appreciation
  • Pipeline acceleration
  • Overcoming the initial reluctance of prospects to set an initial discussion.
  • Having Postal activity feed into our ABM platform to help score account engagement.
  • Enhance webinar experience
  • Apply 1:few or even 1:1 tactics for ABM
We get so much value out of the platform that I can't find any legitimate or logical reason why we wouldn't renew. Their team has been a pleasure to work with.

Integrating Postal

It worked ok for us.
  • Salesforce
  • Hubspot
  • Outreach
You can add sending as a step in an outreach sequence. Salesforce users can send directly with their plugin. It can pull-in your hubspot contacts.

Thanks for your review! I noticed that one of the cons you listed is that Admins have to approve the items their users are allowed to send, so I wanted to let you know that we just released a new feature that gives Admins the ability to toggle Item Approval off so that users can send anything in the Marketplace within their budget. Certain Marketplace categories can even be excluded when Item Approval is turned off, so there are still boundaries for users, if need be.
