Overall Satisfaction with PrinterLogic

I use Vasion Print to deploy and manage my printers from a web interface instead of using a print server. Our print server was experiencing intermittent problems. Persistently. When switching to Vasion Print and made deploying and managing my printers. Way easier. The amount of printer related tickets I have has been drastically cut as a result.

Pros

  • Printer deployment
  • Printer management
  • Data collection

Cons

  • The interface while simple and easy to navigate, does look like it's from the Windows XP era.
  • It would be nice if we were able to enter a printer model number and have it search for a compatible driver.
  • I could be wrong about this, but there are certain fields that are unable to be edited once the printer has been deployed such as the IP Aunt driver.
  • It has more time for non-printer related issues
  • Other issues are able to be addressed when not focusing on printers.

Well suited for companies that have at least 25 printers. If you're a small business, it just doesn't make sense to use this. If you're in the process of migrating from an on-premise to cloud environment and you're retiring your printer, this may be difficult to adopt as well until the migration is complete.
