Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We utilize Procore more in the field than in the office. Sure, we have to create contracts (commitments) and upload drawings and specs form the office. It is the field where we believe Procore pays dividends. The superintendents have a mobile set of plans and specs on their iPad. They can walk a job, review questions, send photos, note changes on plans for an as-built, send a blow up or detail to a sub, write a daily field report, submit an RFI, etc. without ever having to step[ foot in a trailer. For the Supers that fully use the system, it is a true time saver.

Pros

  • Ease of use for field staff
  • Ability to create custom reports quickly and easily based on a certain need or function
  • Ease of access to documentation by all team members

Cons

  • Ability to sync with more accounting systems
  • Provide better notice when making changes and upgrades to the software
  • Provide better notice when mobile users need to update their app
  • Our PM's are more productive using Procore than the combination of Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • We still need to do dual entry on accounting items and cannot utilize Procore fully due to not being able to Sync with Viewpoint.
Procore is well suited to do what they set out to accomplish, construction project management documentation. They need to stick to that and not try to branch out too far into other areas that may or may not affect the original product.
