A Place for Everything and Everything in it's Place!
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is currently being used by our Construction Contract Administration and Management Group. Procore houses all construcction documents and makes them easily accessible to the project team.
Pros
- Procore is excellent in tracking submittals. The Contractor can upload his submittals to Procore and they are, by default, routed to the Engineering Team for review. The entire submittal process, including when it was created, review comments, status and when the submittal was returned is all tracked within the submittal tool.
- The Specefications and Drawings tools make these Contract Documents available to the team 24/7, without the need to send out per request, in whole or in part.
- The Directory tool is awesome because not only does it have contact infomration for everyone on the project, but as an Admin it helps keep track of who's working on what projects and their role.
- Custom tools helps maintain proper documentation and tracking for internal forms of communication, specific to your company.
Cons
- The list view on the custom tool open in the "Open" status filter. If items have been "Issued" it may appear that the information is missing, until the user is directed to change the filter to "All". Have the custom tool open in the "All" status by default could be a little more user friendly.
- Reduce the frequency in changing the "face" of Procore. Just when users get used to where everything is....it changes. This can be frustrating to the novice user.
- When using the Export to CSV. feature some of the text / characters / symbols are changed to characters or symbols that are not commonly used and doesn't fit or make sense. This could be due to the font used by Procore....?
- Re-work is eliminated, creating cost savings for the company and the project Owner.
- Cost related to data collection is significantly reduced.
- premivera, MS SharePoint and Prolog
The user interface easier to navigate than SharePoint. Premivera had a backend user interface that allows the client to create custom forms/documents. That is an excellent tool that allows the client to carry their "brand" or company's image throughout the use of Procore. Procore's current feature for custom tools is very restrictive and rigid.
