Procore - Builidng a better PM Software
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore at one time was just being used by our project management time but has now moved into our financial and contract admin team as well. We have started to integrate Sage into Procore by entering budgets and change orders into Procore. This will help with getting real-time job cost and help us with communicating with different departments in the company. It has been a very useful tool for the company.
Pros
- Project Management - This has been very key in keeping track of submittals RFIs/ASIs and even addendums. You can link addendums or RFIs on to the drawings and even in the specs. This saves time from having to send everything out to subs. If subs use Procore and are looking at the plans they can note or link that sends them directly to the RFI or change on the plan.
- Meeting Minutes - Meeting Minutes take literally only minutes now. Instead of writing them on a piece of paper and taking them back to the office and typing them up on a word document or another project management software. If you have an IPhone or IPad you can take that with you and type your minutes up as the meeting goes on so you don't miss or forget any details.
- RFIs - Procore helps us distribute questions easily and also helps with having others reply back quickly.
Cons
- As of now working with it there are bugs or kinks in the system but Procore is so user-friendly you can ask a customer support person and they can fix it or work you through the problem and change things according to how your company runs.
- This product has been worth its investment. It has helped in so many ways to improve company communication between subs and between field and office staff.
- No negative impact.
I am sorry I was not part of the selection process and how other company's project management software compares to Procore. I know that the residential project management software we use is nowhere near the level at which Procore is at now. Procore is very advanced for today's construction world.
