Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We use ProCore across various projects on a day to day basis from estimating to operations and close out. It provides a central place for all construction documents for the project. We can assign various privileges to various individuals associated with the project.

Pros

  • Drawings. A central location for all current and superseded drawings. We can designate which drawings are the most current and provide access to them to all our subs.
  • Mobile. Mobile access via an app to the Procore system. Allows you to access via cell or via wi-fi.
  • Ease of Use. System is actually pretty easy to use once you get past the learning curve.
  • Support system. Procore support is really helpful. The support center has lots of articles and how to videos. Furthermore the live chat is super helpful.

Cons

  • Learning Curve. Like any software, this one takes a little getting use to. Fortunately the learning curve isn't too bad.
  • Default Permissions. Some of the default permissions are a little strange. Additionally some permissions such as Company Directory are only accessible by Company Admin. Editing of the Company Directory should be allowed to anyone via granular permissions.
  • Not sure. I'm not the person to answer this questions.
Using Procore mobile is very very similar to using PlanGrid. If you know how to use PlanGrid you'll know how to use Procore. Procore is like PlanGrid plus Prolog combined but a little easier to use than Prolog.
Drawings/Documents and mobile access are a few of the strongest points of Procore. Allowing anyone, depending on permissions, to access all necessary documents at any given time is super helpful.
