Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Our operations department will use Procore from implementation to roll out (Expected in 01/18). We are doing one to two projects until then with a specific Implementation team. We chose to move to Procore to streamline our project management processes from several software tools down to 1-2 tools.

Pros

  • Easy to learn and use overall
  • RFI and Submittal Process is super streamlined
  • Document Control

Cons

  • The Financial Tools
  • Email system and files
  • Specifications Tool is cumbersome
  • Sharing Specs across projects
  • It hasn't been long enough to see real returns, but I can see my time spent more wisely which will pay off overall.
I feel that today's Procore is better than yesterday's Prolog. For Sage, it wins head over heals for project management, but not so well (yet?) for financials.
The RFI process works smoothly and easily from its creators through the responses and then to document control. This has already (within a few weeks of use) saved time.

The email blizzard that results is somewhat overwhelming to get used to and will take time to scale down.
