Overall Satisfaction with Procore
As a sustainability consultant, I often use Procore to review submittals, hold sustainability rating system documentation, and review drawings and specs. Typically, we are involved with LEED of WELL projects, but also the occasional Passive House or Net-Zero project. Procore assists in having a central and accessible place for the most up-to-date documentation. It also helps to organize submittals nicely and search for keywords throughout all submittals easily.
- Hosting most up to date documents- easy access for all team members
- Organizing submittals and allowing for searches of particular folders for keywords
- Folder and file uploads are straightforward
- Downloading drawing sets sometimes involves an extra step that holds up the process
- The dashboard is simplistic to the point that I don't feel like I am getting enough information about a specific project from the get-go
- Granting access to a project on Procore is not very straightforward as a consultant- restrictions sometimes cause hold-ups
- Procore saves time on searching submittals, giving us a larger budget to work with
- Hosting our sustainability-related documents on Procore reduces confusion amongst the team
- Reviewing drawings is made easy- zoom functions work well and you don't need to worry about large files loading pages slowly since you can view page by page
Autodesk Bim 360 is lesser than Procore in my opinion. That's because it is less commonly used and team members need to understand the product before they can jump into action. Almost all of our projects use Procore, which makes it easy for me to search for projects all in on space. Autodesk Bim 360 is also harder to search because every time you change the word you are searching your arrow moves away from the search brand you need to move it again to the enter button- usually comes up when searching submittals.
