Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Qlik Sense is used within several business units to bring together disparate data sources for comparison, exploration and visualisation to assist with better business decisions. The end to end ETL process is conducted within Qlik Sense, which greatly simplifies the workflow for our data analysts.

Alternatives Considered

Tableau Desktop, Microsoft Power BI and Google Data Studio

Qlik Sense is particularly strong in the end to end ETL process, and it's relational engine. We found it more powerful than PowerBI and Data Studio.

Tableau is stronger in Visualisation, but falls down in ETL.

Qlik Sense is perfect for data exploration by data analysts, particularly when you want to bring together several complementary sources. If you require to build complex visualisations, with annotations, you may be better suited in other products however.
