Qlik Sense Enterprise
Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense
It's used in many departments and also in top management and Finance and HR departments. The biggest problem it solves is connecting many data sources as one data model for reporting use.
- Data load + data model.
- It's fast.
- Making selections in all controls and visualizations of reports.
- UI looks pretty old comparing to competitors.
- As data model is generally pretty good - it's still stuck in that same model and creating/modifying a bit larger data models is hard (for else than developers).
- Data model is closed for Qlik's use only. It should be open for other software as well.
- Qlik was the first software we were really capable of creating a well-working reporting environment for many businesses without major compromises. We haven't calculated ROI.
We use PowerBI and Google Data Studio in production as well. PowerBI is now growing faster than Qlik and it's licensing model suits us better. Its layout looks fresher.
Google DataStudio is used for our analytics and big data-based reporting.
In our organization, Qlik is constantly fighting against these two. Without existing licenses and usage, we probably would shift totally to PowerBI + Google Data Studio options. Qlik's UI really needs to be made competitive again, and it's data model should be open!
