Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Qlik is the de facto BI tool in my market leading firm. We currently have 6K+ developers and over 10K+ users consuming applications. Qlik has been critical to my success with the ease of integrating and connecting data across multiple tools and source systems in a cohesive manner.

Pros

  • Data modeling with the associative engine.
  • Set analysis for fine controlled expressions.
  • ETL capabilities with the load script editor.

Cons

  • Visualization choices and customizations.
  • Simplification of set analysis syntax.
  • Develop concepts of data models.
  • Significantly decreased reporting time.
  • Increased speed of insights.
Best data modeling and scripting capabilities.
Well suited for:
  • Modeling data from multiple sources.
  • ETL lite via scripts.
  • Data discovery.

Poorly suited for:
  • Highly custom visualization.
