Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

It's being used in our investment management department. Usual challenges would be process streamlining, and having controls in place to support improving client relations. This is where quickbase helped us to quickly automize with its out of the box dashboards, reporting, and notification components. There are some drawbacks due to a of lack of work flow management.

Yes within our department we have various groups and roles which require different custom apps from simple project management to complex business process management.
For simple data management using out of the box data imports and configuring simple dashboards and reports doesn't require much tech support. Anything of that level will be supported by the quickbase active community.

But a complex data scheme with lot of custom functionality development requires a tech team.

  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
It depends on the kind of updates, but any change that can be handled by the out of the box functionality is a breeze as long as you know how to get around their interface.
If you are managing a lot of data in Excel sheets for reporting and make timely changes and extract various cuts of reports, then quickbase is the choice. It has excellent support of dashboards and various reports with a data store. If your system has complex workflows and requires high level auditing and high concurrent users with traditional transaction management then this won't help.
