Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

We use QuickBase to provide our employees with a quick, custom-built data-entry solution to aid their work flows. Examples include simple inventory tracker and service order system.
  • It is easy to define tables and relationships.
  • Custom forms are easy to implement.
  • User management is a snap.
  • Quickbase is best for simple database designs
  • Forms are very linear and not very exciting.
  • Your data is stored in the cloud. For sensitive information, you may not always want that.
Our organization has been able to build several simple database systems, such as an asset tracker, which would have taken longer to implement with a PHP+MySQL stack since you have to design the logic behind the forms. QuickBase takes care of all that so you can focus on the data needing to be entered.
We haven't tried any other solutions as QuickBase was the first that we found, and it had all the features that we required at the time.
QuickBase is easy to learn since it's web-driven. Definitely, a lot quicker that learn web framework and traditional database. Non-technical employees should be able to quickly pick up the basics after an hour tutorial from an advanced QuickBase user.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
Adding tables and fields and updating forms are a easy in QuickBase. We've done this several times with our asset tracker. A simple update, such as adding a new field, can take 10 minutes.
QuickBase is best suited for simple database designs where you need to give access to multiple users. Furthermore with it being web-driven, it easier to manage.
