Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks is being used to keep track of the transactions performed by a small independent insurance agent. She uses the information to file her taxes.
  • There are good hot keys that can speed up your processing time.
  • The time log helps track the amount of time spent inputting data into QuickBooks
  • Chart of Accounts is very customizable to what your business needs it to do
  • I can't think of good examples right now, but there are some ways that QuickBooks could expand hot key options
  • Some sort of double check tools would be nice
  • It has had positive impacts on ease of use, I was able to teach the company owner some basic things she can do in QuickBooks pretty easy and she has little to no accounting experience.
  • It is relatively cheap, so we were able to use it without breaking the bank
  • QuickBooks online functionality was convenient for working on the books without having to be at the office
I have used JDE, Peachtree, and Timberline. It is a lot easier to get a view of the big picture with QuickBooks compared to the others, but I have never used as much data with QuickBooks as I have with the other systems.
First of all, all of our data is already on QuickBooks and we have no urgent need to switch. Secondly, it is at a good price range and is easy enough to use that it works well for our business.
It is easy to use, so it is perfect for smaller companies, however, larger companies should probably just spend the money to get a system that can handle larger amounts of data in an easier fashion.
