Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online
I use QuickBooks online for my company's financials. I also provide bookkeeping and CFO services for clients using QuickBooks online. QuickBooks online is a satisfactory software with the ability to keep track of transactions for small and medium sized business.
Pros
- Ability to download transactions from banks and credit cards automatically.
- Real time information.
- On line access from anywhere is the key strength.
Cons
- Invoice capabilities are limited - for example, % completion is not available.
- The speed of the system is slower than desktop. When a transaction is saved, the window refreshes, rather than staying where the user was.
- Having the separate pages in the bank register is slow - it would be better to have all information available at the same time, without having to go to another page.
- Bank register should be able to be sorted by any field - check #, amount, etc. and in the entirety, not just on that page.
- Unable to create a deposit to the bank - must be done through the bank download.
- Improved productivity
- Ability to process remotely
- Ability to view at the same time as the client while in different locations - great from a customer service perspective
QuickBooks online has the remote access that QuickBooks Desktop does not have
