Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
I really think NXT is a great product, but the company I work for has yet to tap into its resources. It would be great to get our board members, CEO, and directors involved with using NXT eventually.
- I like the fact that you can use the product on your mobile device to look up addresses, phone numbers, and giving history.
- In addition to the address portion--there is a map function that will take the user to the constituent's address. I really like that feature, and it definitely makes it easier.
- The wealth assessor is such an eye opener. I really like that there's a minimum ask figure as well.
- I will say that there are way too many logins to get into the database.
- It is hard to find NXT on the main page.
- I expected to see more infographics on our constituent profiles, but I didn't see that.
- Operational Efficiency
- Increased revenue from new donors
- Increased revenue from existing donors
I don't think we've fully tapped into the potential of NXT yet, but that's a reflection of our office--not the software. I think once we start working on it, we'll be able to get to a certain point. I just haven't played around with it enough to learn more about it.
I think some of their webinars are helpful. I have also been to an in person conference when Blackbaud came to the metro area. Both times, I left with an increased awareness of how to fundraise and use products to do so.
I have had several coworkers use the Tessitura product, and they did not like it. Other than Blackbaud, I personally have little experience with anything else.
Using Raiser's Edge NXT
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Relatively simple Easy to use Technical support not required Well integrated Consistent Quick to learn Convenient Feel confident using Familiar | None |
- The analysis component is very helpful.
- I enjoy using NXT outside of the office.
- The list function is less clunky than the database version's reports/queries.
- It was a frustrating effort to install the app on my iPhone. There were several steps involved that seemed unnecessary, and you cannot be logged in on more than one machine at a time.
Yes - I only use it in my web browser. It works, but I'd much rather use an application instead of keeping it up on a web browser in my phone. As indicated in my past response, I found the application download process to be particularly tedious. I am not happy that I could only log into one machine at a time.
