Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
This product helps our organization provide equitable services and aligns with our vision for Universal Design for Learning. We provide all students with access to Read&Write for Google in the district. This has been a great tool for all students including students receiving special education, English Language Learners, and most other students.
- The screen reading tool is most valuable
- Word prediction is great for kids with limited spelling
- The picture dictionary is used by staff to create visual schedules
- The highlighters are used by our high school students as a study tool
- Make the iPad use more seamless
- Include Orbitnote in Read&Write
- One pagers for teachers would be helpful
- Decreased assistive technology referrals
- Improved equitable access
- Removed barriers for struggling readers
It is super rewarding to provide a tool that benefits so many learners. We strive for equitable access to technology and feel that providing Read&Write helps us meet that goal. Providing this tool also helps us align with district priorities around equity, SEL, MTSS, and literacy. I love that it is an extension that can be used on any device.
Read&Write is better because all the tools are in one place vs Kami which is mostly just a PDF reader and annotation tool. Orbitnote is comparable to Kami so I wish that were included within Read&Write. We also have had our IT team thoroughly review Read&Write and it meets our software governance standards.
