We use RedCarpet across the organization for New Hire Onboarding. Each departmental Administrative Assistant is entered as an BOC Business Onboarding Coordinator for their business group. Since the system was implemented it has addressed standardizaton and timeliness in how we onboard new employees. We all do it the same way and use the same systems as directed in RedCarpet. The tracked and dated tasks are listed along with links to the proper system to use for that task ie... order computer.
I do not work in Corp HR so I do not know about ROI. As a user, RedCarpet as greatly improved my customer service. I don't have to wait for the manager to notifiy me of new employee prearrival, I get this from HR via RedCarpet around 30 days prior to the employee coming so I have plenty of time to prepare for them.
RedCarpet is a good system for standardization and timeliness for onboarding new employees. It provides dashboards for each person involved to see the status of events. I like how the system lists the dated tasks with the links to the other systems needed to complete the tasks. You get emails when tasks are due. If you need data for onboarding metrics or just simply dates and whom, you can get this from RedCarpet.
