Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Accelerated Reader

Our entire district uses Renaissance Accelerated Reader to provide reading support for secondary students. It provides lots of choice for students, lots of support for teachers, and lots of communication for parents. The various reports are helpful for teachers to identify areas of challenge for students and help those students become stronger readers.

  • The reports are generated as PDFs and cannot be edited or sorted in different ways.
  • Time needs to be provided in school for guided reading support.

Renaissance Accelerated Reader is a great product for schools. It provides students with a lot of choice in what they read and provides guided support for selecting books. It is helpful to pair this product with Renaissance STAR assessments too. It is ideal at the primary level. At the secondary level, it can be challenging to locate high-interest informational texts for students at the appropriate level.
