Overall Satisfaction with Revit

Autodesk's Revit is one of the main software used at our organization and is used in all aspects. From Structure, Architecture for the installation of mechanical, plumbing, electrical & fire protection services in our building. Our organization's main aspect is building information modeling and Revit serve as a great tool to perform these task efficiently. As many of the team members work on the same file, Revit becomes a good option for work-sharing locally and globally.
  • Easy to create shop drawing.
  • Many members can work on the same file.
  • Ability to create many work sets.
  • Many process can be automated.
  • Need more accuracy like CAD fabrication while modeling.
  • Advance family creation tools would be better.
  • Disconnection of elements while working.
  • Revit cost is high for a team working on a single project.
  • Less improvement in new versions.
  • ROI good only in the case of large projects.
Autodesk Revit is more user-friendly than the mentioned software and is easy to create a custom family within the software. Multiple users can work at the same time in Revit, as with the other software mentioned, each user has to work on a separate file. Faster workflow and abilities to create multiple work sets in Revit make the overall process smoother for the team.

Yes

Are you happy with Revit's feature set?

Yes

Yes

Did implementation of Revit go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Revit again?

Yes

Revit is well suited in cases where a quick model of the building is required including aspects of the modeling of various MEP elements, their self coordination, and coordination with other services. It helps to generate quick shop drawings and this process can become even faster using add-ins. Revit does an average job when you compare the production of actual components in a workshop.
