Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik

We currently have a pair of physical Rubrik Briks in our data center backing up around 100TB of VM, File, SQL, and Exchange data. This data is retained locally for a limited period of time but is also automatically archived on completion of the backup to AWS S3 IA for long term storage.

  • Lacks the ability to throttle upload speed to AWS
  • Reduced overall backup and DR costs
  • Reduced Exchange and SQL restore times to minutes
We selected Rubrik to replace our Data Domains initially because we are moving to a cloud based DR solution. After the initial implementation we have found that it greatly simplifies our backup and restore process.
This appliance is a great backup system that integrates well with VMWare and Pure Storage. It ingests the VM data quickly and you can have backups running in less than 30 minutes. At the same time it has a lot of additional functions to use over time such as archiving and multiple cluster replication
