Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®
We have two retail stores using one RUN Powered by ADP® payroll under one FEIN. We utilize departments to separate the store location and job responsibilities. RUN Powered by ADP® handles this well and allows me to create J/E's accordingly by store. I do wish RUN Powered by ADP® allowed for negative deductions like I was able to do when I worked in ADP MAS. There's a way around it in RUN Powered by ADP® if you know how to ask client service the right questions.
Pros
- Quick, easy input
- Issues warnings if wages are lower or higher than normal or if someone is not paid.
Cons
- Does not provide a field to store ee ID
- No place to track other custom fields that we use such as Cashier ID
- Cumbersome to run payroll reports after processing payroll as you must go in and out of the screen and select each report individually manually unless you set up a report package. I do not like the report packages because the reports are delivered all in one group (package) which makes it difficult to split them out when you need them individually.
- I really can't provide information here since payroll processing is necessary. We have chosen RUN Powered by ADP® because our payroll person previously worked for ADP MAS for 29 1/2 years.
We tell ee's about the Employee Access portal and require them to do onboarding, enroll in paperless W2 and make any changes electronically. We do not handle changes via paper.
I use it exclusively to view or look things up. I have not used it to process payroll. I think it would be difficult to do on a phone but it's nice to know I can if the need should arise.
We've previously used Paychex Flex, RUN Powered by ADP®, INFINITI HR then back to RUN Powered by ADP®. Paychex created huge nightmares with taxation. Switched to RUN Powered by ADP® when current Controller/payroll person came on board because she had retired from ADP MAS after 29 1/2 years. Left ADP to go to INFINITI HR PEO because owners were told they would save a significant amount of money as a PEO which was untrue. Came back to RUN Powered by ADP®.
