Overall Satisfaction with Sage 100 Contractor

We use Sage 100 Contractor with our independent contractors to assist them with financial management of their construction projects. The robust reporting that Sage 100 Contractor provides allows our IC's more improved job costing, accounts payables and receivables reporting, and subcontractor management. Sage 100 Contractor has improved our teams productivity supporting IC's.

When setup correctly, Sage 100 Contractor is a solid solution. Although the dashboards and some of the underlying functions of the software may seen dated, the information that can be derived from the software are a valuable asset for the end user (IC's). The mobile options also allow the IC's to have data access when out in the field.
Sage 100 Contractor was formerly called Sage Master Builder and was specifically designed for contractors and construction businesses to manage their businesses. We were already familiar with the Master Builder software thus making it an easy software solution for us to support our IC's. The Quickbooks products will require a bit more tweaking in regards to job costing, subcontractor, and inventory reporting to provide the information Sage 100 Contractor has out the box.

Sage 100 Contractor is well suited for independent contractors (IC's) that want to learn a software that can be an end-to end solution. From estimates all the way to reporting, Sage 100 Contractor will provide the IC's with everything they need. There is however a learning curve and the person operating the software needs to be well versed in how each component operates and connects to the overall financial picture.
