Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is fantastic! We use it within accounting for all of our processes! One of the main problems it solves is revenue recognition. When I started at my organization, rev rec was done via Excel, we moved to using order entry in Intacct, and along with that came using their rev rec in the system. The system now posts it automatically. It is the easiest system I have ever used.
- Ease of use!
- There are multiple ways to enter A/R depending on your business needs. It really has something for everyone.
- Sage Intacct is forward thinking. They are always looking ahead at changes and making improvements to their system.
- Reporting
- It would be nice if when applying payments, that if a customer only pays certain items that the payment was not disbursed through all the lines on an invoice.
- The custom report writer is difficult to use. They have shown a new custom report writer at their past three conferences, but they still don't have it released yet.
- Time savings - taking manual processes and making them automated in the system.
- Reporting would be a negative to the ROI, it is a very manual process and difficult to set up.
- Rev Rec in Order Entry is a positive to ROI. I do not have to think about it now, the system just does it.
Revenue Recognition has been transitioned from using excel spreadsheets to doing everything within Intacct. Our organization has greatly benefited from Intaccts automation especially in regards to accounts receivable. It took a manual process and completely transformed it. It saved time, and ultimately head count.
We are in the process of implementing the contract revenue module, and that will be a complete game changer for us. It will allow us to capture the new requirements for ASC 606.
